Fun with cousin Katelyn

Cousin Katelyn is now 10 months old and lots more fun for Colin to play with. While we celebrated Nana's birthday recently, Colin and Katelyn had fun playing in his tunnel and tent and even shared some hugs.

They had lots of fun and Colin so enjoyed it that we can see clearly he will be a great big brother when his sibling arrives in September!

Back to blogging

It has been a little hectic these past few weeks, so I have gotten behind in my blogging. I managed to take lots of pictures, however, so I do have lots of updates coming!

During the very long recent rainy spell, Colin (and mommy) were going a little stir crazy inside the house, but we did find some entertainment with practicing on the trike again.




We will be working on riding this all summer. Colin is just starting to get the hang of the pedals so we may make some progress soon!

There was lots of apprehension in our household about the transition to the big boy bed (probably mainly on the part of Mom and Dad) so we wanted to make sure Colin was really comfortable with the big boy bed. We spent lots of time talking about it and Colin had a chance to try lying in it well before bedtime.

Big Boy Bed!

After weeks of discussion, we finally made the big jump into the big boy bed. This week we went and bought a new mattress, bedding (with cars and trucks on it!), and a bed rail to make sure Colin didn't fall out. Ken borrowed Uncle Jim's truck and went to pick up the bed from Nana and Papa's house--it was the same bed that I slept in as a child! Colin was excited to help set it up and see all of the components finally come together.
