Color changing popsicle!

We had a really lovely waterfront lunch in Gloucester (and Colin sat the WHOLE time for nearly 2 hours!). Colin got to eat his favorite sandwich, grilled cheese, and his meal came with a popsicle, which turned out to be color changing. It was a big hit and capped off a really nice day in Gloucester.

Trip to Gloucester

While Nana and Papa were on vacation, we took a day trip with them up to Gloucester. It was a beautiful day and we found a fun playground for Colin right by the water.

Snuggle time with Brook

Here Ken is cuddling with Baby Brook...having a brand new baby in the family is reminding us how soon we will have our own new little one to snuggle with--less than 1 month to go until D--day!

"Do you like pizza?"

During dinner out at Pizzeria Uno, Colin asked us and the tables around us "Do you like pizza?". Surprisingly, everyone said yes!

Camping in the living room

We haven't had a chance to go real camping this year, so the living room may be all Colin gets this year, but he had lots of fun in his tent with his sleeping bag.

A day at the office

Since our new little one has been giving us some trouble and I've been put on modified bed rest again, Ken has been working at home a lot to help watch Colin. On a recent morning, they both were working hard with their laptops and coffee.

Welcome Baby Brook!

Uncle Kevin and Auntie Andrea's baby was born on August 5th! We were so excited to meet her and Colin loves having another cousin!

Colin sat still for a few minutes to enjoy some playdough on a recent morning.

Katelyn's 1st Birthday party

Katelyn loved her birthday cupcake and Colin did, too, as well! Happy 1st Birthday Katelyn!

Katelyn's 1st Birthday party

Cousin Katelyn turned 1 at the end of July and the heat wave broke for a nice afternoon party by the lake. Colin tried out Katelyn's new birthday presents, including a climbing play area and a sand box that looks like a boat! Here he is in the sandbox.

Colin and Dad took lots of walks by the lake exploring.

More Discovery museum

After the ball room at the Discovery museum was a water play area, evidence of which you can see on Colin's shirt! Then we went upstairs and Colin had a ball in the kitchen area. He was eager to serve others and to prepare various dishes.

Discovery Museum

On a recent rainy morning, Colin and I took a trip to visit the Discovery museum. I hadn't been since I was a child, so I was very happy to discover that he was the perfect age for the museum. Here he is enjoying the ball room.

Being a bit of a ball hog.

Watching the ball go...

Very focused.

Ooops, there goes one!

First sundae!

Colin, Nana and I took a trip out to the Eric Carle museum (and I somehow forgot to take any pictures in the museum) but afterward, we went to Friendly's for some ice cream and Colin had his first sundae, the classic Conehead (oh, how many of these I made as a fountain girl & waitress at Friendly's). Colin was actually very neat about it and only ate a few bites, but he did say that it was "very cool."

Big guy, little toy!

Perhaps in preparation for the new baby, Colin has become more interested in some of his baby toys recently. In the basement, he found this old seat and was happy to see that he still fits. Here is Colin sitting in it two years ago.

Train ride at Kimballs

On Friday nights, Kimballs has a cruise night, music, giveaways, and free train rides! We've taken Colin once or twice, and when some of my dad's extended family was meeting there on a recent Friday night, the rain didn't stop us and Colin was eager to take a spin around with Nana and Papa on the train.
