Colin was excited to get a medical kit and has been busy giving us shots and taking our temperatures.

Alaina's first Christmas

Alaina was our best gift for Christmas this year and we had lots of fun this holiday with her, as she is really starting to wake up and become a little person...and she is sleeping a good 7-8 hours at night now most nights, which was another great gift for us!

Content

Alaina is such a mellow little girl and is content just to lay on her playmat and look at the hanging toys. She reaches up and grabs for them from time to time and kicks her legs frequently.

"Spiderman hands"

Excuse the mess in the background as this was taken in the midst of packing chaos. Colin asked to finger paint and somehow managed to make his hands completely red. I thought it was rather disturbing looking, but he told me it made him have "Spiderman hands".

No pacifier

Alaina has refused to take a pacifier, but loves her fingers!

Mild December

We have had lots of fun outside during this mild December. Colin has enjoyed running around and has even agreed to go on a few walks with Mom and Lainey.

Colin has been getting creative with his Mr. Potatoheads lately. This is "Papa".

D.J. Colin

Colin broke into the cabinet and found Daddy's headphones and Mommy's yoga bolster and suddenly a musical session began. I really believe this kid has music in his future. We took music class in July and Colin is still obsessed with guitars, drums, and all instruments...that is a very long focus in his limited attention span!

My mom saved (and found) some of my dresses from my first Christmas, so Alaina had a photo shoot. Working on trying to find and scan in the 1980 version of these pictures.

We stopped at a church fair with a Story hour from Santa and Colin listened very intently as the big guy told him what he needed to do to be on Santa's nice list.

Brook's visit

Cousin Brook came to stay with us for a few days last week. Colin was a helper with the two babies and I managed to get all three of us

outside every day, which I was pretty proud of! Alaina is definitely longer than Brook, and Brook is 8 weeks older than Alaina!

Colin came to me one morning with a picture from one of my magazines. "Can we make these?". So we did our best to make pumpkin cake pops. They didn't look great, but were very yummy! He was very proud of our work!

One Month Stats!

11 pounds 4 ounces, 23 inches...(up from 9 pounds 1 ounce and 22 inches at birth)

Colin at one month: 10 pounds 2 ounces, 22 1/4 inches (but he was 6 pounds 15 ounces, 20 inches at birth)
