Towering heights!

House Update

No pictures because we are having computer problems which hopefully will be resolved soon.  The house is:
painted, trimmed, deck is almost done, garage doors installed and most systems heating, cooling, water, etc) seem to be installed.  Still to be done in the interior: flooring, lighting fixtures, and cabinets.  Exterior: More dirt still needs to be moved, septic needs to be installed, driveway paved, loam and seed yard, sidewalk installed, and plantings needed.  Please, please, keep your fingers crossed that all this can be done in the next 5 weeks or so!  We are anxious to move into our new house!

House Updates

I don't have a new picture of the house, but there are lots of updates to report:

• Walls are plastered and trim and outlet covers are starting to go up.
• Interior doors are being installed.
• Sub floor for areas with linoleum and carpet is installed; hardwood in living, dining, and kitchen areas should be installed shortly.
• Closet "guy" called us to see if we wanted any additional closet options and should be working on installing the standard closet storage shelves next week.
• Excavation continues...but there still is a lot to go.
• Please have your fingers and toes crossed for us for a late September close--no rain to slow down excavation!

Nubble Light

After our stop at York Beach, we drove to Nubble Light so Colin could see a real lighthouse. Lainey fell asleep in the car, so Ken stayed with her while Colin and I explored.

On the rocks, Colin kept telling me to be careful for the edge. Refreshing because I know that means he was listening to me! As an aside, I can't, for the life of me, get him to just smile and look at the camera. Must be a 3 year old thing.

York Beach

We love to sneak away for a day trip and York Beach is a short drive for us, so last weekend we spent a few hours there. Tide was out so Colin had fun splashing in the puddles on the beach (a little too cool for swimming) and we browsed the shops as well.

Happy 2nd Birthday Katelyn

Cousin Katelyn turned 2 last week, and despite the showers that forced her party indoors, we had lots of fun celebrating her second year.

10 Months Old!

Alaina is cruising, babbling, and has 7 teeth! She loves to eat (only feeding herself...no help please!) and playing with Colin. I think she will be walking within the month. She is still about the happiest, easiest baby around.
