We tried to steal a few last moments of summer and spent the day in New Hampshire...Colin got some more playground time and swimming and Mommy and Alaina got some quiet moments together, as well.

House Update

 The steps are now installed, as well.

Floors are stained and polyed!

 Grading is almost all done in the yard...hydroseeding next!

Cabinets and countertops are installed.  Appliances are in, as well.

 

We are scheduled to close at the end of the month!  Final touchups and landscaping is next to be done.  The driveway has been paved, appliances are in, and most every other detail is done.  These pictures are about a week or so old.

Last month, Val, Eric, and Lillian hosted a big group of LHS friends and their children.  We all had lots of fun catching up with old friends and the kids loved playing with each other.

Colin asked to go to Davis Farmland all summer long. He had been once before, but didn't remember it. When I told 'him it was finally the day for his Davis Farmland trip, he was so excited and said "Thank you Mommy!"

House Updates

These pictures are at least a week or so old, but show some of the progress. The end is in sight! Septic system is in, so final grading can begin.

This is the backyard.  This will all be seeded, but I think down the road, we will put shrubs and mulch that hill and maybe build a wall of sorts (no need to have grass on that hill).



The deck just needs side railings and steps.

 

The hardwood is all installed now and just needs to be stained/polyurethaned.  The tile is in the mudroom, bathrooms, and laundry room,as well.  Carpet (on the stairs and in the bedrooms) is one of the last things to go in.

 

Here are the upper cabinets.  Apparently, someone mismeasured, so the lower cabinets had to be re-ordered.  That, of course, means that the countertops can't be installed yet, either.  :(  It will all get worked out, but no more delays please!

 

Lighting fixtures have started to be installed, driveway is ready to be paved, and final interior touchups should be coming up soon.  Then final inspections and appraisals need to happen before a closing date can be scheduled.
