A happy end to a great vacation!

Sesame lunch

The highlight of our trip for Colin, I think, was our lunch with Elmo and Friends. Colin barely touched any of his food, as he was so excited to meet his "friends". Cookie, Abby, and the Count made their way around to visit and Big Bird and Elmo set up visiting stations for the kids to go up and meet them. After lunch, there was a dance party. The first picture of Colin is a little blurry, but I think captures his enthusiasm. Colin loves to dance and jumped right into the fray to get down with the characters!

Sesame Place Day Two

We only spent about 4 hours at Sesame Place on Wednesday and had reservations for a character lunch on Thursday, so we went back for a few more hours before heading home Thursday afternoon. We stuck with the "dry rides" before lunch and Colin had lots of fun, especially in the Big Bird playground area.

Sesame Place

We left Ocean City and drove to PA. When we arrived at our hotel, our room wasn't ready yet, but a shuttle was leaving for Sesame Place in 15 minutes so we decided to head on over, since our tickets were good for two days. It was a hot day, perfect for a water park, so we changed right into our suits and Colin took a dip in the splash pool. Then, we headed over to wait for the big parade. Colin loved it, he literally was dancing in the street, and he got to see some of his favorite characters.

Last night in Ocean City

We stayed in Ocean City for 3 nights and each night, enjoyed a stroll on the boardwalk and rides for Colin. On the last night, we took a walk to the further amusement park and went on their "Thomas" ride, an elevated train, enjoying a view above the crowd and out to the sea. It was a relaxing end to our stay at the beach before we headed out to Pennsylvania.

Morning walk and coffee

We like to start the morning on vacation with a walk and some coffee, so each day we took a stroll down the boardwalk. Colin found our idea of sitting on a bench looking at the beach to be a little boring, however. He wanted to run across the boardwalk, right into the traffic of bicycles and surreys! Ken let me sit and enjoy the view while he monitored the wild one.
